My stay at Mercia Hotels & Resorts was disappointing overall. The hotel is situated in an industrial area with no nearby amenities, and the lack of English-speaking staff made communication very challenging. While my room was clean at first glance, I encountered serious issues with my stay, ultimately causing me to leave early.

Rooms
5.0
At first glance, the room seemed clean, but I was shocked to find a used packet of strawberry-flavored oral jelly, and there were no bed sheets provided. The smell was also unpleasant and not fresh.
Service
5.0
The staff were dismissive and spoke very limited English. I faced difficulties even asking for ice, which they tried to charge me for, and general communication was a struggle throughout my visit.
Location
5.0
The location is terrible, situated in an industrial area with more stray dogs than people. There were no restaurants, shops, or access to the beach, making it very inconvenient.
Dining
5.0
The food quality was horrendous, with cold chips and cheap processed meats. I couldn't even understand the menu for dinner, as there was no displayed option and nobody to explain it in English.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities advertised online, like an airport shuttle, were nonexistent, leaving me to find alternative transport which cost significantly more than expected.

My stay at Mercia Hotels & Resorts was disappointing due to its terrible location and lack of basic services. While the room itself was clean upon arrival, the experience was marred by language barriers and unsatisfactory dining options. I couldn't bear the thought of staying longer after just two nights and decided to switch hotels.

Rooms
5.0
The room initially seemed clean, but we found a used packet of oral jelly under the blanket and had to take sheets from the housekeepers since none were provided. Avoid room 119 due to a persistent damp smell.
Service
5.0
The staff's language skills were almost nonexistent, making it incredibly difficult to get assistance or information. They were dismissive and did not pay attention to us during our stay.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated in a desolate industrial area with no nearby restaurants or shops. It is far from the beach and not close to the city center, which made it very inconvenient.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was a disaster, featuring cold chips, cheap processed meats, and no variety. I couldn't even understand what was offered for dinner due to the lack of menus and language barriers.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offers various services like room service and housekeeping, the overall experience was not up to par, overshadowing any facilities that might have been available.

My experience at Mercia Hotels & Resorts was pretty rough. The location was a real bummer—just an industrial area with no nearby spots to eat or hang out. The staff didn’t speak English, which made getting any information super difficult. While the room was clean at first glance, I found some unpleasant surprises that ruined my stay. I ended up leaving early, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms
5.0
The room seemed clean until I found a used pack of oral jelly, which was disgusting. Also, I had to deal with a strong damp smell coming from the bathroom, especially in room 119. Not what I expected.
Service
5.0
Communication was impossible since no staff spoke English. They were dismissive, and I felt ignored despite being among the few guests. I also got charged for ice, which felt ridiculous.
Location
5.0
The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere—no access to the beach and tough to get to. I wish I had checked the area before booking because there was nothing nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a huge letdown. Cold chips and cheap processed stuff made it hard to enjoy a meal. Dinner was confusing without a menu, and no one could help me understand it.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed basic, but I didn't get to use much due to the overall disappointing experience. Room service was available, but I didn’t feel like dealing with it in that environment.

My stay at the Mercia Hotel was disappointing, with a terrible location and unhelpful staff. While I found my room had some cleanliness at first glance, the overall experience left much to be desired, especially the dining options.

Rooms

I was shocked to find a used packet of strawberry flavored oral jelly when I unwrapped the blanket. The room had a damp smell that wouldn't go away, and there was no water pressure in the toilet. Clean at first, but not really in the end.
Service
5.0
The staff really struggled with basic English, making it hard to communicate any needs. They seemed dismissive, and my requests for help were not met with friendliness at all.
Location
5.0
The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by industrial decay. It was impossible to find any restaurants or shops nearby, and the constant noise from outside was a nuisance.

The breakfast was horrible, with cold food and cheap options. I was particularly disgusted by the lack of a proper menu for dinner, making it impossible to know what I could order.

I was really disappointed with my stay at Mercia Hotels & Resorts. The location was awful, surrounded by an industrial area with no restaurants or shops nearby. Besides that, the staff's lack of English made communication nearly impossible, and I faced issues with the cleanliness of my room. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving early after just two nights instead of the planned four.

Rooms

The hotel's location was a nightmare. It felt completely isolated, with no access to the beach or nearby amenities.

Breakfast was a letdown with cold, unappetizing food options. I had trouble understanding the dinner menu because of the language barrier, which made things even more difficult.
